Hi all,

I'm wanting to check the health status of my hard drive and was wondering what the best S.M.A.R.T. analysis program to use is? I currently have 'SMART Monitor' but it offers very little information and doesn't always recognize the hard disk. Also, does Windows Vista have any S.M.A.R.T. analysis tools included?

Thanks in advance.

I use SpeedFan. This allows me to monitor the temperature of the HD. also, it has a SMART analysis tab that gives pretty detailed info.

Never worked for me with OQO 02. Site currently seems compromised. Owner advised.

Yeah, I've heard a lot about it but I haven't had any success with it either. Are there any other ones worth trying?

Thanks,

I wonder if the website is limited to certain geographic areas.

I'm posting a copy of this file here:

Loads and runs but I get report :

"Scanning ISA BUS at $0290...
End of detection
INFO : NO SUPPORTED CHIP DETECTED"

plus DIMM Info:

"Unable to gather info about DIMMs.
May be they are not accessible on the SMBus.
This is usual for ASUS boards."

Seems I need to report a MotherBoard MODEL. (I don't know where to find this information in the OQO context.)

CPU Usage % green bar graph works.

So what use is it on an OQO ?

Subject free program gives lots of information but attribute interpretation requires more expertise than I possess. Error warnings are frequent for my OQO.  ID 5, Reallocated Sector Count of 8 apparently generating a 'Health Status: WARNING' of 8%; ID194, Temperature (presently 38°C) has apparently 'reached WARNING level' even though (adjustable) default is 55°C. A nice feature is current OQO internal temperature can be displayed on the task bar. OQO Knowlegebase search on Temperature produces no detail on appropriate Warning and Critical temperatures in the 'About Thermal Management and your OQO model 02' answer.
