If you know the ropes enough to be comfortable around
custom kernels and can tolerate a small level of potential
risk to your oqo or the data on it, I need some model o2
users to test a driver I cobbled together this week.

http://www.abrij.org/~bri/hw/oqowmi.html

You'll need a 2.6.25-rc8 or newer development series kernel
with the new apci-wmi support.

Added the GSM modem enable/disable switch.

Slowed down the accelerometer to 4HZ samples for reliability.

Moved the backlight to match other drivers.

Preserves GSM modem power state and backlight level through suspend/resume

Restores original settings on rmmod.

Same URL.

Nice job!   I will try this when I have some free time (crunch mode right now).

I'll go out on a limb and assume that meant college finals -- which should be wrapping up.  Have you any time to test it now?  I'd really like to start the long process of getting it put into the mainstream kernel tree, but can't really do that until at least someone steps up and says it works for them as well as for me.  Apparently non-VM linux OQO users are in short supply these days.
