The only thing I'm not satisfied with model 02 is: the left and right mouse buttons are too far away from the pointer. While this is great for two hands operation, it is a big hassle for one hand browsing.
So, I made a little program to deal with this issue. This program was actually made 10 years ago for my Libretto. I just made some changes to fit the needs of OQO.
It runs on the system tray. "4" as the left button and "7" as the right button. It comes with the following features:
The tray icon appears in 3 colors: green - enabled, blue - paused and red - disabled. So you can easily check its status and won't mess up on your keyboard and mouse.
If you click on the tray icon, it'll pause its function and release these two number keys for normal typing.
You can also pause it by double press on the ESC key, very handy.
If you double click on the icon, you can disable or re-enable the function.
You can also right-click on the icon to see a menu, then you can select to pause, disable, enable and exit it.
If you press and hold down "4" (emulated as left button) for about 1 second, it'll stick and then you can release it and drag the mouse pointer like the left button is pressed. This is very another very handy thing for easy selecting text and drag & drop.
The program uses very little memory (only 2 MB) and has almost no impact to your OQO's performance, while offering all above cool features. The two files are extremely small - only 9KB total. This is because I used some very unique programming skills to handle such very difficult system-level functions. If the same skills are used to program the oqomanager, we'll have the perfect OQO.
Just download the ZIP file and unzip the two small files in any folder. This program does not write anything to your computer including registry:
