Now OQO is the smallest MAC in the World P.S. There is a photo attached to this post but you must be signed in to OQOtalk in order to view photos. If you cannot see the photo sign in and it will appear. Edit: Here is a link to the walkthrough on page 9

Nice!!! Can you please post some instructions on how you got it up and running? I'd love to give Mac OS X a try on mine. Stu :-) www.myspace.com/stuartguthriemusicP.S. Two OQOs??? I'm jealous - lol.

I tried the Kalyway installer on my OQO and it didn't manage to boot too far..
So what has happened here? Linux+pearpc?

According to trf it needs to be an AMD Kalyway. Didn't know they were specific.
I think he is legit (maybe I'm a fool) and he is putting together the info for how to do it.

The Leopard install is legitimate and works quite well. However, I am still working on two final issues which are video resolution, presently limited to 800x480, and wwan which I have not yet attempted. Sound, wifi, power management, and usb are working fine and the system is very responsive. When I have completed these final tasks I will post a review with further details. I would rather finish the project before providing details which may send some in all directions. I will warn you this project is not for the plug and play crowd but definitely do-able. For now there is a link below to a youtube glimpse of the OQO in Leopardland. I threw out the title of this post on a whim but I suppose it is the smallest MAC in the world and another testament to the amazing work of the talented people at OQO. Dennis and co. are a great group. And 3Goldens I am not alphabetically challenged, as you suggest in your second paragraph, however if you want to blow some trumpets to celebrate the occasion feel free to fire up the band because it is for real. By the way the video is quite long because I ran the entire startup sequence to convince the doubters that it is for real and not a graphics hoax. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSJM4r4PVuY

Congratulations! I am truly impressed! I apologize for being the naysayer but you my friend have accomplished what very well ma be a first.
I am hoping in the days to come you will document this process for those of us that might want to take advantage of your hard work, research and discovery.
Do you think there is a way to get the WWAN for Verizon to work, which would be nice but I certainly would dual boot my backup unit in a heart beat.
Here's to you trf, BRAVO!!!!

WWAN should be no problem as Novatel U720 and 620 are very well supported by Macbook (truly plug and play). What seems difficult to me is the hotkeys for zoom and screen brightness. Unless the related codes can be found in the linux DVD that comes with oqo, you'll have to ask oqo for the API.
The boot time is so long according to the youtube; just because of this, I'd never want it. XP takes almost no time to boot on my 1.2GH/512MB oqo.

3Goldens - I will certainly give WWAN a shot. I have a 1.5 and 1.6 and they are both set up with dual boot running Leopard though only the 1.6 has WWAN and it is with Verizon.

I'm definitely interested in hearing how you did the process, including how you accomplished the dual boot. The last time I played around with my OQO, I wasn't able to get the dual boot to work using partition magic. I think it had to do with my trying to use my OQO recovery disk instead of a new OS installation disk. Hmm. Not sure I should attempt anything like this with a business trip coming up next month but I'm super curious to find out how Leopard works with the wwan. Have you installed iTunes on your Leopard partition? Do the DRM videos work without audio and video skipping? Great job in getting a Mac OS to work!! Sandy

I think boot time was not such a big issue if hibernate is working correctly. just my 2 cents........
