Amazing stuff, trf! I think my OQO secretly wants to run Leopard. Smiley
Not surprising, considering that OQO was started by ex-Apple employees.

Here's some interesting trivial from Wikipedia, can't say how true it is though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OQO
Quote
OQO was founded by the creators of the 'TiBook' Powerbook G4 after Apple Inc. (at the time Apple Computer, Inc.) refused to let them develop a Model 1-like mobile Macintosh, prompting much of OQO's original staff to leave Apple and found OQO.

[update] link to complete walkthrough on Page 9, and my install notes on Page 17.

I think boot time was not such a big issue if hibernate is working correctly.
Smiley

The boot time itself is not much a concern, but it is a sign of the OS blow-ness. I always prefer function and efficiency to look.

FYI, both Gizmodo and Engadget have picked up on this around the same time:

Ditto the above request for a How To Guide.
I would really like to run this. Also, have you run Parallels on the OQO? if so, how did it perform?
Good work.
PS what is the legality of doing this?

I would LOVE to give this a whirl - I will gladly be a guinea pig if you need some testers!

Awesome work!

This project requires a lot of running down blind alleys and then reloading the OS and starting over as drivers are loaded and set up.  Sound and wifi took several days. I will post more when I get it done.

By the way, please...please...please, buy the Leopard license if you decide to attempt this.  I have purchased Leopard and I know that the OQO communittee will do things right.
