I am very excited about this, it is truly amazing, what a combination the OQO and MAc.
I run Mac at home and windows at my company, I prefer MAc and once the windows machines die at the office( only two left), they will be replaced with Imacs or who knows maybe OQO's.

Appsora - Hanging on startup is par for the coarse.  If you can hold on a few more days we should be able to get you on line with your own dual-boot working system.  It is a bit complicated but doable for everyone.

We are putting all of the pieces in sequence on paper to help you have a workable MAC experience on your OQO.  Dual-boot is possible on both Vista and XP systems.  It is a bit easier on Vista but workable on both.  Jt likes XP and I like Vista so this was a must.  Video and WWAN are going to take a bit longer and therefore may not be available until after we post the initial instruction set and usb is workable but not perfect and will need further tweaking but it is definitely useable thanks to Jt's script.  We do recommend that you backup your system before beginning so you may want to give that some thought now.

I am typing this in Leopard now using wifi which works great so it is definitely useable.  Thanks for your patience.

I just bought my OQO yesterday and to be honest this is the only reason I did.

Ofcourse I have to say Thank You for all that you are doing.
And I hope apple takes a good look at this and decides to wise up.
Ive been a Mac user since the beginning and I would hate to stop
just because they dont want to build what people want to buy.

I will keep an eye out for the instructions.
Besides my OQO doesnt arrive until Monday,
so I couldnt do it right now even if I wanted to.

Thanks again for the hard work

Wow that is pretty amazing that you bought an OQO just so you could put Leopard on it!  Shocked  I know many of you are very eager for the walkthrough so we are going to post it regardless of the USB, Video, and WWAN not completely working.  This is my last week of college for this semester and I have been writing a lot of essays the past week and have not had much time for this project.  We are going to post ASAP since it is now funtional.  Smiley  We will add USB, Video, and WWAN components as we complete them.

Take you time JT, study is more important than anything else, good essays do take lots of time, work hard!  Wink

We will be sitting here refreshing OQOTalk or GoogleReader or checking our email notice on the thread every 2 seconds until everything is ready!  Grin

The instruction set is complete and is beta testing with a friend before release.  Since we have performed the steps so many times we want to insure that is is clear to someone not involved in putting it together.

Thanks for your patience.

I can feel the excitement in the forums about this, but I'm astonished that OQO hasn't been more enthusiastic.

The OQO is a beautiful machine, but I'm a programmer (mostly doing java development and maintenance) in OSX. Without OSX, it's a no-go. There are actually a lot of people like me, and we're all concentrated in the market that buys this sort of machine.

But the tutorial totally turns the tables. I think OQO should at the very least be buying you guys some beers.

I guess they can't really get involved due to the whole Apple OS X licensing issue on non-Apple machines. If OQO were seen to be encouraging this then I'm sure Apple would file a lawsuit to prevent other companies from jumping on the bandwagon and to stop further development.

Is there a particular version (kalway) disk we should be looking out for, for when you
have the instruction set available to start? Or an Image disk to load with daemon tools?

Well I am posting this so that you will think the "time has come"  Tongue jk We are really sorry for making you guys wait but we are still waiting for our beta tester to tell us what he thinks.  I am planning on calling him tomorrow and then I will have a more definite release date.
