Sometimes when I boot up my OQO Model e2 SSD with Windows XP I get only the desktop background, therefore I have to reboot to get the complete Windows XP layout.

It happens lets say 1 time out of 20, but it happens.

Has anybody the same problem? How can I fix it?

thanks for your help

This happens to my Nan's Toshiba Satellite sometimes. If we leave it then everything always appears eventually. Only prob is it takes around 10 mins when it does happen.

I'd also love to know what causes this.

Hi Stu,

thanks for your input, next time it will happen I will wait to see if after 10 minutes I get the normal Windows XP layout. Until now I have always rebooted after 1-2 minutes when I had this problem.

Hope someone will be able to give us an explanation of why it happens

Sometimes if I was previously using an odd resolution, when I resume a Windows session, the screen is zoomed in so far I can't see the password field on the login screen until I pan over to it.
