It would be ideal to have the option to buy the OQO / its accessories from Amazon.co.uk DIRECTLY, not through third-party marketplace sellers on their website but from Amazon as the direct seller. I have never found fault in Amazon's customer-service / delivery / returns-policies, etc. and would prefer to buy from them than elsewhere. I however did not find the OQO being sold by them directly on their website (only through marketplace sellers).

Please vote in the poll as a 'petition' to show whether you would like Amazon.co.uk / .com to be a direct seller of the OQO.

PS. maybe there should be a separate section on this forum dedicated to the CEO, asking him questions, giving feedback, suggestions, etc.

I'd have no probs purchasing from Amazon - I have always found it to be a good experience in the past.

P.S. I think if we had a separate 'Dennis Q&A' section he'd probably be swamped by all the posts. We need to let the guy have some time off, he does need to sleep sometimes - lol Cheesy

What we *really* need to do is to have a private forum that you have to qualify to be a part of based on a combination of your OQO knowledge and your helpfulness to others in the forum, which would be at the sole discretion of the forum moderator.  Only then would you be worthy to communicate with the great Oz!  Wink

So now we are likening Dennis to something out of the Wizard of Oz - lol. I like the metaphor.  Cheesy

Now, let's follow the yellow brick road - lol.  Cheesy

Amazon is the largest online store I know, and is one of the most reliable too. Please vote in the poll, we need more votes!

I have just sent an e-mail to Amazon.co.uk requesting that they try to stock the OQO directly on their website. I'll try to post here what they say.

Getting Amazon to talk is never an easy thing. You will get a default form letter back Im sure. I know a few people who have tryed to get Amazon to stock a product. These days Amazon will push you to Amazon inventory management service. You send Amazon the product, it holds and ships as needed.

This is the reply I recieved from Amazon.co.uk Customer-Services:

"Dear Customer

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.

Unfortunately, we are currently unable to offer this item, as we're currently out of stock of "model e2 (1.6GHz, 1GB RAM, 32GB SSD, XP Pro)" and we are not able to guarantee when or if it will be available for purchase on our website. For this reason, the item is currently listed as out of stock.

Please be informed that as a retailer, we solely depends upon the supplier's discretion.

I can assure you that we are working hard to obtain this item as soon as we receive stock from our supplier, we update in our website. We suggest checking our website from time to time to see if this item has come back in stock.

We hope that you are successful in obtaining this item. Thank you for shopping at Amazon.co.uk.

I don't think this sales-rep is aware that the OQO is not a product sold by Amazon directly  Huh

Maybe you could e-mail OQO asking them to look into it and outline the benefit of increased sales for them. PM Dennis, he is always keen on hearing about ways to increase sales. Smiley
