One nice feature of NHC is: it shows how many watts my oqo is consuming:
-5.35w, screen brightness 5, keyboard light on, EVDO not connected, wifi off, oqomanager not running, cpu set to dynamic switching. -6 to -7 w if EVDO connected. Almost never go below -7 and I always get 2:44 battery life of web browsing over EVDO or WiFi.
How's yours?
I doubt if anyone will match you. At 5.35 watts a small battery should last 3:09 and at 6 watts should last 2:49. This is based on the formula time=[amp-hour rating]x[volts/power] assuming a new 3.75 volt 4.5 amp-hour battery.
I gave up trying to get 2 hours of wireless surfing out of a small battery. Of course I'm using Vista, the OQO Manager, 2 radios (WWAN or WiFi plus bluetooth), full screen brightness and "balanced" power. However the double battery has plenty of power left after 3 hours so it satisfies my needs.
