A clever idea, but what does it gain you? I carry my OQO in a little case logic case and the pen sits right by the side. If I'm carrying the OQO around I put it in a pocket.
Maybe it's me but using an OQO is cool, I'd feel a bit of a dork with a pen that looked like a flag!
BTW, my OQO didn't make it into work this week as it's sitting on my keyboard at home. DOH! Wish I'd flag-modded my pen now.

If only the OQO had a built-in pen-holder...

He's right. You should carry it in some kind of case anyways. So, it would make sense to just stuff the pen in a side pocket or even same pocket as the pc

Not my kind of thing (only because I never really use my pen) but that is such a cool idea.
Thanks for sharing.

I like it! I'd be a little concerned over the pen getting torqued and the connector breaking off inside my USB port, but I suppose you could always pull it out with needlenosed pliers if you had to. It's an ingenious solution to this problem though.
For my OQO, I bought a 4x6" cloth planner ("Plan Ahead" brand name, found it at Fred Meyer here in the Seattle area for about $15) and ripped out all the ring binder and inner pockets and crap that I didn't need. Then I put some velcro strips on the back of my OQO and mounted it right in there. Holds it really secure and I can zip it shut. There's a pen holder in there too (a little loop of knitted elastic) that works out pretty well. There's also a mesh zipper pocket on the outside that I use to stash my USB key, extra pen, my really slim digital camera, or whatever.
I also bought a similar pencil pocket that the same company makes which I will use to hold the power adapter/cords when I need to bring those too. That also has a mesh zipper pocket which can be used for an extra battery or whatnot. All this makes for a great quick mobile kit without taking along a bigger laptop bag or briefcase.
The OQO also still fits in the executive case with the velcro strips on the back, although the magnetic closer on the front is not perfect any more. But works great when I want to carry it that way instead.
One other thought - am I the only one that hates the pens that OQO sells to use with the 02? They kind of have this fine texture on them, which in principle should make them grip well, but in practice I find as slippery as heck. I have taken to using one of my leftover tablet pens from another device.

I have no problems with mine, I quite like things plain and black and the default pen fits the bill, and the texture is just "pen like"
