I am not sure that this topic can help anybody, but due to some error, I replaced my old OQO O2 with a new one... To tell the whole story I left falling down my OQO 02 on the grownd in it split ..in two or three parts ... Shocked
I was wondering whether I would buy a new OQO or buy a Samsung Q1 Ultra Premium.
Basically I love the form factor of the OQO, but the processor is a little bit week and for large Excel sheet (200mb) it couldn't afford to manipulate them easily.. quite often the mouse is moving slowly by itself so I got some difficulties to double clic ...

So after a few days, I prefered to by the OQO E2 with SSD drive ... and hoping that would help ...

Now I have it for more than two weeks ... and the result is amazing  Smiley.... this is the best UMPC machine I ever had  Cool... (Toshiba R500, Fujitsu P1510, Sony U750P, OQO 02 ) ... and at the moment no other machine less than 500g has got 3 hours surfing, fluent Divx, even 720p, numeric pad, easy access for zooming in firefox (F11, crtl+ +ou ctrl--, scrolling etc..)

Luckily I could manage to repair the old OQO and make some benchmark between the two models... and the new one is 50% more powerfull .. which is sufficient for what I expect from an UMPC
-> working with very large Excel sheet
->Word
-> surfing with firefox + BT connection with an HTC (I don't like integrated HSDPA)
-> divx and 720p

Here are the result ... after complete formating and installing all software ... what is strange is that performance are really degraded with Vispa or other optimization ...

Chickenrun

I have both ssd and hdd and they are so different in  terms of what you can do. The SSD compensates for a lot of the OQO shortcommings. If I was in your position I would void the warranty and buy a 32gb ssd on ebay and do a field upgrade. The only issue is the disk image from OQO will not install on the 32gb as the image is the wrong size. But just get a OEM version of the OS from somewhere else and use the license you have.
