I have been seeing periodic freezes but I've blamed it on the system trying to shut down with a low battery while some process is actively eating processor cycles. However, I do run Avast and I'm now wondering if this might be the problem. "Avast" does not appear in the Knowledge Base (or, for that matter, anywhere on the site according to Google).

Is there a known problem with Avast?

I've had freezing and system crashes at boot-up since I got my O2.  I've lived with it for a while but recently contacted support for advice.  They stated in an email - "Looks like you have Avast installed which definitely has been a problem for OQO's in the past".  Support asked me to try running it in 'clean boot' mode and I've also uninstalled avast.  It's only been a couple of days but so far no crashes or freezing.

I'll give it a few more days then put it back in normal startup mode (without avast) and see how it goes.
