Expansys USA has a sale on today only for OQOs at about 50% off several models.  I've posted the email I got here.

EDIT:
They have sold out of some of these specs, but not all, so a few of the offers are still available. Obviously many people did purchase.

EDIT:
The initial page is there, but I can't get to the deals any more! Did anyone buy at those prices?

When I got the email, the links didn't work.  About a half hour before 11am CST the links started working.  Now the links are dead again.

I guess "while stock lasts" wasn't very long.

Cool offer. A 02 for the price of an 01. Wonder why they did this, but don't think because of a new 03.

The links were only supposed to be active from 11am to 4pm CST.  I ordered an 02 with Vista Business and had my order confirmed a few minutes later.   1.5ghz, 60gig, etc., etc. for $750.  That's about the right price...  Grin

Fingers crossed that's the case. Of course as soon as the 03 is released then it means my 02 is obselete - lol.  Cheesy

Wow! That was an awesome deal...but I trump that with this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/OQO-1_W0QQitemZ290258167935QQihZ019QQcategoryZ38331QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Don't let this one get away / plus this guy has exceptional feedback Roll Eyes

Wow! S/he is asking a lot for it. Also, wouldn't that be the 01+ not the original 01 since the 01s only shipped with 256MBs of RAM? I guess you *might* be able to justify the $1500 if it were an 01 since you're essentially buying a piece of OQO history.

And then he re-list it for $1300.   hehe..

I guess all it takes is one person who mis-clicks/not understand market conditions, etc.  to make it worthwhile.

I got mine from this deal it just arrived at my desk at work about 30 minutes ago. Vista Business 1.5 ghz, 1 gig ram, 60 gig HD version.

So far, so good. The fan is louder than I expected but I haven't updated the setting yet. VISTA is still going through it's first boot setup.

I've noticed that when I slide the screen up, the mouse tends to wander downward. Hopefully, I can calibrate that or else it's just going to bug me to no end.

Edit:

Got an answer to the drift on UMPCPortal from Eliteis3:
http://www.umpcportal.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=3746&start=0#forumpost20659

As Eliteis3 points out, the nub on the pointer was slightly contacting the bottom of the screen and the pointer is calibrated at "neutral" when the screen is slid up. If the nub is rubbing the bottom of the screen, it gets pushed toward the top slightly as the screen is moved which sets the "neutral" position of the pointer slightly off-center. When the screen is fully extended, the pointer returns to the true neutral position but the calibration tells Windows that the pointer is slightly pointed down.

I tested this out by taking the rubber nub off the pointer and the problem went away. I pressed down on the rubber nub firmly to get it down as far as possible and the problem has gone away. Woohoo! No RMA for me.

I got an email from Expansys UK - they are having offers on the e2 (1.5GHz version) tomorrow 12th Sept. They are dropping the price by £465 from £1229.99 to £764.99 inc VAT.
Maybe they are just clearing their stock of slow sellers - i mean who would buy the 1.5GHz version now anyway?
