Hey all,
I have a HTC Tytn II mobile phone running Windows Mobile 6 and was wondering if anyone knows of any software that would allow me to save the SMS messages off of it onto my OQO?
Thanks in advance.

I use Dekart SIM Manager v2.2 in a Dekart SIM Card reader.

Hey Rog,
Thanks for that. I've been checking out the page and it looks great, but I'm a bit confused, does it actually store the SMS messages to the computer? Also, do I need to remove the SIM card and place it in the USB reader for it to work?
Thanks again.

Yes - because it saves the SIM data.
Yes - you need to remove the SIM to read it.
Of course you have to cut/paste to store info how you want it.

Hi Stu, the HTC TyTN II saves SMS to the phone's memory by default, not the SIM card (unlike some other phones I know). There might be a setting to configure saving SMS to SIM but even then, Roger's method would require you to physically remove the SIM card for each transfer.
Here are some (non-SIM removal) options I'm aware of, although I've personally not have the need to tried any.
SMS Bee

SMS Import

Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook

Have fun!

Hey Bungee,
Thanks for the links. I'm very interested in that SMS Bee, however, I tried installing it on my Tytn II and it says 'Intallation was unsuccessful'. It has been doing this with whatever apps I try to install lately - i.e. Google Maps, Yahoo Go, etc. Do you know what it could be and what I can do to fix it? I never had this problem before until I tried installing Google's Android on the SD card.
Thanks again,
Stu

Well, I think you managed to mess something up on your WM6 phone with Android. I'd suggest a factory hard-rest. Since the TyTN II uses non-volatile Ram, you'd need to initiate it using Clear Storage (under settings). Remember to back up/sync your data first. Cheers.

Thanks for that - I'll give it a try.
