you're way too much of a fanboi to look at it even remotely objectively Stu Wink

Possibly, I guess I've just found that the OQO has been perfect for my needs hence my enthusiasm.

So, I have to say that it's not such an awful thing to be a fanboi!  How nice that someone expresses appreciation for a product for a change!  There is so much negativity in our everyday lives that I for one appreciate someone with positive feedback.  I do think that Stu and others who love the OQO can also be objective when they have issues too.

Anyway - just a comment!   Smiley

hey, I bought and resold mine within a month, but I'm still hoping to see one come out that meets my needs

I love the form factor, the sliding screen, the active digitizer

i just need better battery, less heat, more cpu/ram and it would be perfect

I agree!

They probably won't comment on the specs or features of future products, but Dennis, Bob and Jim have all assured us that they do read the topics posted here and use it for customer feedback.

People here need to keep in mind that OQO is a small company. They can't afford to end up with a large stock of unsold OQO 02/e2s. Any information they put out on this board is immediately heard around the entire blogosphere. Even a semi-announcement of a new model will kill sales of the old model - something Dell might be able to afford but OQO can't.

I trust that by now the specs for the new model are close to final and that prototypes exist internally at OQO. If we are lucky, component manufacturers have gotten orders and maybe even the final assembly line has started up. I'll stick with my uninformed prediction that the OQO3 will be available for order or pre-order on the OQO site on November 10 with delivery in time for Christmas - but I'm an optimist. It may be that we have to wait for CES early next year. It may be longer.

Until then, rumormongering is the order of the day.
