I bought my 2e in April and so far, between, 1) the logic board craping out (away for repair 3 months), and 2) Battery failure (which is still not fully resolved), Ive only had use of my oqo 2e for 3 months and now that expansys has finally delivered the tablet pen I ordered I cant get the tablet features to work I get a message saying either "a program has caused the Wacom driver to stop working" or "the tablet driver has stopped working" and seemingly according to others here its not an uncommon problem.

So as cool and EXPENCIVE (especially in todays financial climate) as the Oqo is it doesn't seem to work too well with vista ultimate I would ask anyone that works for Oqo would it be possible for you to supply me with a copy of XP tablet edition so I can Actually use my oqo productively.

so as to buying an unproven platform

never again

Hi Murph:

I have OQO e2 with Vista Ultimate and Tablet options. I recommend Vista, before XP, if you use Tablet / inking options.

Try uninstall and reinstalling the Wacom Drivers

I hope this help you,

OQO is a boutique shop and this is a typical boutique shop issue. They just don't have the financial muscle for extensive QA, so they are often hit by nagging things like this (or the CPU robbing OQO Manager) or recurring problems that are never solved - i.e. dying motherboards at an alarming rate anyone?

Hi Murph,

This isn't actually an official OQO support forum so it would probably be a good idea to visit their  support site and send them an e-mail. If you're having problems with the speed of Windows Vista, I'd highly recommend disabling all unnecessary services and also switch the appearance to the Windows Classic theme.

I hope you manage to get the problem resolved.
