I've tried playing around with the DPI settings in the registry and/or via control panel>personalization and I'd be interested in your experiences.

I've seen two posts really advocating changing the DPI for a sharper image in interpolated modes 1000x600

I can't see any difference however when increasing the DPI from 96 to 120 in the interpolated modes.

I'd be interested to know about other people's experiences with this

I don't remember anything about making it sharper.  Just that it makes the fonts bigger / look better.
