I have been using a Model 2 since the beginning last year when I had to preorder.  Tongue

Recently I wanted to replace my Vista Ultimate with my Vista Enterprise so that my OQO was setup and licensed via my work.  The only issue I seam to have is that the monitor's are being detected as Generic PnP where with the CD Ultimate they are identified appropriately in display properties.  The side effect is that the zoom does not work right.  At default I have the whole desktop in view but as I zoom out all I get is the panning around.  Essentially the opposite of how it worked before.
I have the exact same S3 drivers, etc but I am not sure where or if it is possible to get the monitors configured properly.  I notice in System properties i am also missing the OQO identification from the hardware.

So if anyone has an idea I would appreciate it.  I have searched around and not found anything on Oqo's site or elsewhere.

I also have three standard batteries that have died from I think sitting. No lights no charging or anything.  Anyone found any way to repair them that is cost effective?

Thanks
Clay

Hey Clay,

Unfortunately I can't really help you with Vista Enterprise, but have you definitely installed OQO Manager (preferably the latest version)? Did you do an upgrade or a clean install?

Regarding your batteries, have you tried resetting them? Instructions can be found here.

Hope this helps,

This was a clean install of Vista and I have installed everything available on Oqo's website.

I could try removing it and putting it back possibly.

I think for the batteries they are too low from sitting too long.  Following another post, I am going to try to charge the batteries manually until they are strong enough to charge themselves.  Unfortunatly my multimeter crapped out, but with a nokia phone charger I was able to get the lights to flash but not to charge comepletly.  i am going to wait until I get a working multimeter before I try more.

thanks for the info.

Have you tried letting them charge overnight? When you get them working it might be an idea to get another AC adaptor and a battery charging adaptor so that you can keep a bit of juice in them every now and then.
