Don't bother - Warrentech are as interested in customer care as OQO were and Teleplan are.

I still do not haver my OQO back.

Teleplan still have it and will not repair it until Warrentech authorise the repair.

This I cannot achieve.

I've emailed a guy at Warrentech on numerous occasions and he's just not bothered to get back to me.

They're obviously not interested in honouring the extended warranty.

Teleplan have had the unit since February.

UNLESS WE ALL GET TOGETHER AND PRESENT WARRANTECH AND TELEPLAN WITH SOME KIND OF LEGAL THREAT WE WILL NEVER SEE THESE UNITS AGAIN.

What's the status of your repair? Believe it or not, I bookmarked this thread back in June right before we sent ours, via Warrantech, to Teleplan for extended warranty repair.

I detailed our journey in this thread.

Still ongoing.

It's insane tbh.

Teleplan are 100% happy to fix it as long as Warrantech pay.

I have faxed and emailed copies of the original receipt (which verifies that the unit was purchased with a 2 year warranty) to Warrantech.

They say they can't read the fax (too small text) and repeatedly haven't received the email due to their spam filter.

Eventually they temporarily dropped their spam filter and got my email. That was about 2 weeks ago. Not heard anything since.

They are not interested in honouring the warranty and / or are totally disorganised.

Still - it's only been 8 months since I sent it to OQO.

When you sent it to OQO, was it still under the original 1st year warranty? We never dealt with OQO, since we were already outside the first year.

When I called Warrantech (can't remember if it was at 800-292-7726 or 800-262-2138), I gave them our membership number, which can be found on the extended warranty card that OQO shipped to us. See this example.

That sample shows that you had to register the warranty with RepairMaster/Warrantech within 10 days of purchase, which we did by going to www.wcpsonline.com/oqo.

After giving Bill @ Warrantech our membership no., he gave me a contract validation number. I explained the symptoms and what I'd done to troubleshoot, and then he issued an RMA authorization number along with all the contact info for Teleplan.

Not once did I have to fax or email anything to Warrantech to get the ball rolling.

Did you register your membership number with RepairMaster/Warrantech when you received it? Would you like me to send you the email contacts I've used successfully?

Yes - you're correct. With the membership number it's easy.

I bought this unit second hand.

I don't have the membership number for the warranty.

That's causing Warrantech significant difficulty.

The problem (apart from their general incompetence) is getting email through to them.

They telephoned me again tonight to say they still haven't got my email.

That's about the 30th time I've sent it.

Life is too short to play this game.

honestly guys, a class action  of OQO owners doesn't seem to enough critical mass since OqO didn't sell enough of these>

But an often overlooked method and extremely effective method in the USA is contacting your State Attorney  Generals Office Consumer Advocate. these are people / group typically assigned to the resolution of consumer issues and just their initial inquiries are enough to change circumstances.

Sadly, the Consumer Advocates are often underutilized and they're eager to chase larger companies instead of the usual stack of crooken housepainters or used car dealers
