This will fit in place of your wwan card. However, you will loose your wwan function. If your unit is a non wwan unit you can remove the plastic spacer and install this but you will need to acquire the mini pci socket and install it as well since the non wwan units are missing this part.
ou will also need to configure drivers for this card.

Oh my goodness!!! That is SO freakin' awesome!!! So, will that enable me to have smoother video playback in applications like Windows Media Player? Will I be able to watch movies in iTunes? How hard do you think it would be to put in there? I have a Sprint OQO Model 02, will I be able to remove the Sprint WWAN card? Stu

You are in luck. The Sprint card means you have the Mini PCIe connector. As you live in Aus the Sprint card is useless. So you can just remove the card and directly plug the Video card in. It says it comes with a driver. It would be interesting to see how well it works.

Yeah, sure will - just waiting to get paid at the moment before I can order one plus I need to do a bit of research into how hard it will be to install. Just out of curiousity, what screwdrivers do I need to have to get into the OQO? None of mine fit. Stu

Thanks Charlieboy. I'm very keen but just a little worried as to how hard installing it will be. Stu

Hope this helps.

Stu, did you ever try to install the card? I found a new listing at ebay:
--Bjoern
Hi Bjoern, I'm really sorry about my late reply. I looked into it and spoke to someone who knows the OQOs (inc. the 2+) very well and he mentioned that it would not be compatible as there are two types of PCIe cards and that even though the OQO would physically accept this card, it would not work. I'm sorry I can't expand on this, but it's a little beyond me. Stu

Ok, thanks Stu. Sad that this might not work, but good that I did not waste any money on it. Can anyone explain what the limitations Stu is mentioning might be? --Bjoern
