upgrading ram on a OQO model 2

Good evening everyone,

Just found this site selling a 1GB of RAM for the OQO model 02. Is this right? Please see the link:

has anyone eve tried? I will be changing the 60GB HDD to a 128GB SSD so I am wondering if both can be done at the same time (going from 512mb to 1gb).

If performing the same 2 upgrades to a desktop PC, I would still do the upgrades separately. 1 variable = less problems. Just skip some of the unnecessary re-assembly steps between boots (back plate, etc), the same as not closing the side panel on a full-size case.

When you get the RAM, please post a photo. I have yet to see pics of any e/02 RAM modules.

I am not sure whether the site you refer to, can provide the correct RAM module for an OQO, since it seems to be of proprietary design. I bought one some time ago from e-bay, to upgrade my 512MB RAM unit, but have not installed it yet mostly because I feel a bit anxious of the replacement procedure. You can check at the following links, a similar thread that contains some instructions on the procedure, plus photos of the 1GB module (as requested from Zanesmurf - Hope they are good).
