Our OQO fell (about 3 feet) and the screen popped off. Although the insides are OK & it boots up just fine, unfortunately, one of the video cables were snapped and the clips are missing. Sad

Does anyone have a source for a new cable & clips? This is a really fuzzy image, but can anyone see anything else missing besides the clips? I've seen the screen off just once before & thought there were two of them, but the person who did this cannot find it/them.

Thanks!

That's an impressive slice straight through the video cable.

The intact cable is the digitiser one.

You should try to find the springs as these are getting very rare.

I've dished out several pairs but I'm either going to have to start charging for them or look at having new ones made as my stock is now below comfort level.

As the screen needs to be taken apart I'd think about asking someone to repair the damage.

I can do this if you're in the UK otherwise Trf or Picasso may be able to help for the US.

The torn cable is the digitiser/touch scroller/BT/light sensor/backlight cable. This is usually the cable that rips because of the bend. The good news is that this can be replaced (if you can find one, and know how to take the display assembly apart).

The straight cable is the video cable going to the lcd. If this tears you are out of luck, because the other end is bonded directly to the lcd glass.
